What is the difference between a bungalow, a raised bungalow and a bungaloft?
A bungalow puts all principal rooms on one level. A raised bungalow lifts the main floor half a storey so the lower level gets full-size windows, and it is often finished as an in-law suite. A bungaloft keeps the primary bedroom on the main floor but adds a loft or second-floor bedroom above part of the home — popular with buyers who want single-level living plus space for guests.
How do you decide what counts as a bungalow here?
The MLS has no bungalow property type, so we include homes whose listing description identifies them as a bungalow, raised bungalow or bungaloft, and we exclude vacant land and commercial listings. If a listing agent didn't use the word, it won't appear — tell us what you need and we'll catch the rest by hand.
